I must admit, this weekend is going to make me nix my self-imposed ban of new releases, as there are some especially cool drops for us sneakerheads to look forward to. We have a new round of Pumps, which are always a fun cop when you can get your hands on them, and we’ll have a few more opportunities to snag some Dunks. I know many of us have been Dunk deficient to the start of 2021, so maybe we’ll have some luck this go-round. I guess, as usual, we’ll have to wait and see. Anyway, let’s get into it.

5 Weekend Sneakers To Watch Out For
Y'all getting anything this week?
1. Reebok Pump Omni Zone II
Release Date: 5/21
I’m breaking my retro sneaker ban for these. I repeat I’m breaking my retro sneaker ban for these. The last re-release of the Pumps sold out, so flipping fast, and those current resell prices hurt. I mean, I definitely wouldn’t mind paying the money because they are certainly worth it, but I would love the opportunity to snag these at retail. The Pumps are your standard classics in terms of the overall design and pattern. This white iteration is super sick too. A perfect shoe. Seriously.
2. PSG x Air Jordan 7
Release Date: 5/21
These bad boys have been rumored for a while, and now we finally have a date time-stamped (tomorrow). It would be nice if sometimes we could be given more than a few days' notice, but I guess that’s sneaker culture right? You always have to be ready. PSG and Air Jordan are teaming up for a red, white, and blue colorway just in time for Memorial Day Weekend. This is our first opportunity to have smaller celebrations, so of course, you already know we have to show up fly.
3. WMNS Nike Dunk Low “Barely Green”
Release Date: 5/21
Okay, fam, so what are we doing? Copping or not? While not my favorite Dunks out there, I do like the pastel blueish green in the upper, and I think you could play around with the laces to create different looks. The Barely Greens automatically come with white laces, but you could swap them out for different shades of green and blue (pretty much anything pastel will work). Dunks and the summer season go hand in hand, so these would be a solid pickup.
4. CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss Of Death Cha”
Release Date: 5/21
One thing about the sneaker community, there is always going to be a second chance. Following up their release from March, these are sure to be just as equal of a heavy hitter. I actually prefer this pair over the taupe iteration because it has a darker vibe that makes you feel like you are about to do a fight scene in a movie (you guys know I’m telling the truth on this one). Either way, this shoe is hot. A must-get for sure.
5. Adidas Yeezy QNTM ‘Flash Orange’
Release Date: 5/22
Anytime Yeezy drops a pair, it's sure to be madness, and I think this release is going to be no different. If you have been reading my blogs for a while, then you know I’m not always sold on Yeezys. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate Ye’s creativity, but I struggle to find myself wondering where exactly I could wear some of these sneakers too. That said, I do like the ‘Flash Orange’ joints. I think it’s a nice warm summertime mixture with deep earth tones, and in my opinion, the colors are neutral enough.
