Another fun week down in the land of the G-League as we march closer to the All-Star festivities in Cleveland. First up, we’ve got some news straight from the G-League themselves in regards to make-up games and scheduling. Six new games have been added to the 2022 calendar along with three reschedules that were postponed Dec. 27 and Jan. 4. Additionally, it was announced on the 25th, that the NBA All-Star 2022 Clorox Rising Stars game will feature four players from the G-League this year which is super dope.

Here's a look at what happened this week
The four NBA G League Ignite players will be selected by NBA G League head coaches, which means players will certainly be showing up and showing out these next couple of weeks to earn one of the four coveted spots. Speaking of a few players who showed up and out, let’s take a look at some of the best performances this week.
Player Spotlight
- Salt Lake’s Carson Edwards has been on a tear, scoring 38 in their matchup against Oklahoma City. This makes Edwards’ third 30 point game in a row.
- Rio Grande Valley Vipers guard Daishen Nix was named NBA G League Player of the Week. Nix made his NBA debut with the Houston Rockets in December, and averaged 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists over this past week. Nix could definitely be one of those four spots if he keeps it up.
- Ignite’s Michael Foster Jr. hit his career high of 28 points
- Last but not least, College Park’s Cat Barber rallied a career high 14 ast, which isn’t something you see very often in terms of career bests

- Iowa Wolves vs Memphis Hustle: Wed Feb 2nd @ 8pm EST
- Agua Caliente Clippers vs Sioux Falls Skyforce: Thurs Feb 3rd @ 7:30 EST
Windy City currently sits at .500 (5-5) and is looking to trend upward as we get closer to All-Star weekend. Meanwhile, Raptors 905 has been hot with a 9-2 record. 905 is 7-0 at home, so the Bulls are going to have a tough fight. Meanwhile, Iowa is looking to work their way up to the top of the standings, as they aren’t too far from the number one spot Agua Caliente holds. Speaking of Agua Caliente, they’ve been, well, Caliente. At the moment they are number one in the West at 7-2.
