Last week we introduced our NBA G-League series where we highlight four teams each week that you should be paying attention to, and this week we’ve got another round of teams that should definitely be on your radar. With the season back in action, after going on break due to the NBA’s COVID issues, the action is officially resuming this week, but there’s still a lot up in the air. The Philadelphia 76ers just called up Braxton Key from the Delaware Blue Coats, meaning that we could very well still be seeing players having the numbers called at various points of the season, and the Cleveland Charge just announced the signing of former Dayton Flyers guard Trey Landers on Tuesday, who is sure to be an exciting addition to their roster. More is on the way, so let’s get to it.

Four NBA G-League Teams To Watch Out For
1. Windy City Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have been rocking and rolling, so now is the perfect time to give your attention to the Windy City Bulls. The Bulls have had some movement over the past several days including the acquisition of Perry Jones after center Daniel Oturu signed a 10-Day contract with the Toronto Raptors, and of course Windy City went on break on the heels of a thriller when Scottie Lindsey hit a three-pointer in the final seconds of a December 1st matchup against the Wisconsin Herd. Keep an eye out for Windy City.
2. South Bay Lakers
South Bay has also had some notable additions these past couple of weeks. The team acquired forward Willie Jackson from the available player pool on January 3rd, and picked up veteran guard Pierre Jackson as a returning rights player and veteran to add to their diverse roster. South Bay also experienced a fun moment last week when forward Paris Bass signed a 10 day contact with the Phoenix Suns. South Bay’s motto is “The Work Never Stops,” and they are certainly ready to get back to work.
3. Maine Celtics
So what’s Maine been up to lately? Well they added two new players, returning veteran John Bohannon and Deonte Burton to prepare for their season resuming on January 9th. Their center Luke Kornet signed a 10 day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, making it the second time this year he’s had his name called to the NBA. Guard Chris Clemons signed a 10-day with the Atlanta Hawks, and forward Juwan Morgan has gotten to showcase his skills with the Toronto Raptors this year as well. As you can see, Maine has a ton of talent, so watch them closely.
4. Motor Cruise City
Detroit Basketball baby! Motor Cruise has some serious talent whose highlights you should check out immediately including: Jabari Craig, Devon Baulkman, Travon Palmer, and Jaylen Johnson, and the team has assisted (pun intended) the Detroit Pistons in the midst of their COVID outbreak, sending up Cheick Diallo, Derrick Walton Jr., Cassius Stanley and Deividas Sirvydis this past month, proving once again just how full of depth they are. Motor City is looking forward to coming back, and you should be too.
That’s going to do it for this week. We’ll be back with four more teams tomorrow, and be on the lookout for more individual player and team spotlights.
