How Hall of Flowers is Changing the Cannabis Industry

The era of copping dime bags on the corner is so far in the rear view mirror at this point that it's faded entirely out of view. In 2021, cannabis is no longer a taboo market; it's an industry. And as with any good industry, networking and community-building are instrumental to the growth of the world of marijuana.

That's where Hall of Flowers comes in. The B2B (business-to-business) trade show—which took place at the end of September—is the premiere event in the cannabis market right now, encouraging business owners from every area of the burgeoning green world to work together.

The inspiration for Hall of Flowers was to bring a professional B2B trade show to the cannabis market.

- Rama Mayo, Founder of Green Street

The event, which was a joint effort between Green Street, Aaron Levant and Dani Diamond, formalized what those in cannabis already know: weed is a business. Boasting a roster of founders previously involved in ComplexCon and Liberty Fairs, the event involved a wide array of 200 booths and over 500 brands, all gathered together to expand the industry of legalized cannabis. ONE37pm partnered with ACME Productions to cover the exciting event, and you can see how they masterfully captured the vibe of the trade show below:

Gary Vaynerchuk, a partner in Green Street, said of the event: "The kings and queens of this industry are being made at events like this as we speak." As someone from an alcohol background, Gary frequently draws comparisons between the current era of cannabis and the post-Prohibition era of the 1930s; both periods are essentially eras of legalizing a previously illicit substance. "I used to always wonder, what would happen with me if I was there when Prohibition was repealed?" Gary questions. And that's part of why he's where he's at today in the modern cannabis industry.

The future of cannabis is rapidly approaching. Events like Hall of Flowers demonstrate that—while we are still early—the industry of legalized cannabis is here to stay. This is just the beginning. In the words of Rama Mayo: "We're gonna add more value every show, forever."
