CoolKicks Collectible Trading Platform Earns NFL Superstar Support

CoolKicks is a sneaker and clothing brand, with a flagship store in Los Angeles, California. The store was founded in 2016 by Adeel Shams after he finished his masters program at Virginia Commonwealth University. CoolKicks is closing in on 700,000 followers on Instagram, and currently boasts over 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube. 

Pushing content on social media has been an integral part of CoolKicks' rise to prominence in the sneaker scene. By engineering content with influencers in similar fashion to complex’s sneaker shopping shoe, CoolKicks becomes more than just a sneaker store, but a live studio where you can see where your favorite celebrities picked up their newest pairs of shoes. They even offer guests on their videos to take three shots on a hoop set up in the store, with $2,000 in store credit if the contestant can make two out of three shots. It’s innovative things like this that help make CoolKicks an even livelier storefront.

MynaSwap is the newest endeavor from the CoolKicks team, and is one that could reshape the future of collectibles. Users on the platform can send assets they own like shoes, watches, or other collectibles, and CoolKicks will keep the items vaulted in a temperature controlled safe. A digital asset will then be made and sent to the user, who is still able to sell the asset with the digital collectible if they choose to do so. 

The startup for MynaSwap has raised $6 million in capital, and have just peaked the attention of some high profile investors. Numerous NFL superstars such as Odell Beckham Jr. and Kyler Murray. CoolKicks is clearly at the forefront of how blockchain technology can be utilized, and we can’t wait to see how MynaSwap comes to fruition.
