The spirit of Ghost of Tsushima and Akira Kurosawa films are all contained within this side-scrolling samurai epic. Development studio Flying Wild Hog (Shadow Warrior) places players in the role of a young samurai named Hiroki, who sets out on the path of vengeance in pursuit of the people that destroyed his home. Along that path will be a whole lot of blood spilled since you'll use your blade to dismember your foes. The classic black and white presentation makes Trek to Yomi's cinematic presentation look incredible - here's hoping the gameplay holds up just as much.

Fans of Konami's Suikoden series are going to have to wait a bit longer to check out its spiritual successor, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. But in the meantime, an action RPG prequel/spinoff should hold those same fans over via Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. Before you engage in some turn-based battles and recruit a huge array of heroes, you'll busy yourself with this game first by utilizing three different characters during dungeon exploration, furious battling, and even town-building activities. The instant switching between all three warriors presents a combat cycle that looks like a ton of fun.

Ska Studios' Salt and Sanctuary brought the "Soulsbourne"-formula into the realm of a side-scrolling action RPG that worked much better than anticipated. Its follow-up is arriving in the form of Salt and Sacrifice, which puts players in pursuit of the evil "Mages." And as a death-dealing "Marked Inquisitor," you'll get engaged in the grand hunt for them and embark on a difficult journey. You can ease the difficulty of that adventure by bringing a friend along with you thanks to the game's online co-op capabilities.

There's actually been a few games based on the big-screen horror franchise Bruce Campbell is known for. And now the latest playable experience goes the 4v1 asymmetrical route that fans of Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th: The Game should flock to. The aptly titled Evil Dead: The Game meshes co-op and PvP gameplay mechanics together as four players come together to do battle with demons controlled by "Deadites." As for the fifth player, they'll take the role of that evil parasitic force and torment them as three playable demons. It's gonna feel so good to step into Ash's shoes and keep all those demons at bay with his lethal chainsaw and boomstick combo. What we have here is the clear standout for May 2022 video games.

Yes, we can't believe it either. But it is indeed true - the little-known platforming mascot known as Kao the Kangaroo is getting a whole new game! The Australian anthropomorphic hero sets out on a new trek across several themed locales that are full of collectibles to discover. When it's time to enter attack mode, players will get to put Kao's boxing gloves to good use as they go for some KOs against all sorts of baddies. Kao the Kangaroo should certainly appeal to fans of old-school 3D platformers and collect-a-thons.

That hungry yellow dot that's been munching on pellets and ghosts since the 80s. Now it's time to celebrate his iconic status once again with a sequel to the 2014 Pac-Man Museum compilation.
