LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is going above and beyond to make sure it moves the series forward in a major way for longtime players. This "blocky" adventure in that famed galaxy far, far away features all three movie trilogies, a who's who of playable characters in LEGO form, and modernized melee/ranged combat mechanics that make lightsaber dueling & laser-blasting more fulfilling activities. The young fans that have just gotten their first taste of the Star Wars films/TV shows and the older fanatics that have been with the series for the long haul will get a lot of mileage out of this one.

The only Major League Baseball game on the scene today has broken barriers by not only being tied to a single console. MLB The Show 22 is making its way onto PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles in order to satiate everyone who's thirsty for some digital baseball goodness. Los Angeles Angels two-way player Shohei Ohtani is playing the part of the cover star this year, so fans of his should be more than pleased with that high honor. As far as updates go, this year's MLB simulator comes with an improved version of Stadium Mode and a host of graphical/audio upgrades for PS5 users.

Chrono Cross is among a long line of classic PlayStation 1 JRPGs that still get remake requests from fans. Square Enix has heard those fans loud and clear, but they've chosen to go the remaster route instead. That's not a bad development, however - Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is arriving with new & improved visuals, redone character illustrations, battle enhancements, and a whole bunch of quality-of-life enhancements. One of the most unexpected gaming announcements of the year has to be the one that revealed the impending release of Nintendo Switch Sports. The motion-controlled sports game compilation is coming to the Switch and will utilize the Joy-Cons for some fun living room competitions. Prepare yourself for some heated rivalries with your loved ones as you play to decide who's the very best in tennis, bowling, soccer, etc. Nintendo Switch Sports will definitely get the blood boiling and the muscles tense when it's time to get up and get physical.
