In conjunction with publisher Square Enix, developer PlatinumGames is releasing a brand new action RPG that features the studio's signature hack & slash gameplay. Babylon's Fall gives players control over their very own Sentinal, who's capable of utilizing two weapons and a special device known as the Gideon's Coffin (which lets them call upon the powers of two spectral weapons). Up to four players can team up together to ascend the Ziggurat tower as they clash with an army of mystical enemies, discover awesome loot, and attempt to save the world.

This latest entry in the PlayStation exclusive series is packed to the brims with content thanks to 400+ cars, a vast array of tracks & layouts, and a bevy of legacy/new modes to enjoy. Aztech: Forgotten Gods follows a young Aztech woman named Achtli, who makes it a mission of hers to bring down a line of gargantuan gods. With a rocket-boosting arm at her side, Achtli uses it to propel herself into the sky and right towards her towering foes. Aztech: Forgotten Gods' Aztec-inspired art design and overall themes present it as a one-of-a-kind indie game worth exploring.

It's hard to believe that we're finally getting a follow-up to 1999's Chocobo Racing. Chocobo GP is a Nintendo Switch exclusive that puts Final Fantasy's iconic bird mascot and a host of other characters onto the race track. Each character can knock out the opposition with items called "Magicites" across a wide swath of colorful track layouts. Chocobo Racing includes a Story Mode, Series Races, Time Attack, Custom Races, and a 64-player online Chocobo GP Mode.

It looks like the decision to take a year off for the WWE 2K franchise may have worked out for the better. Development studio Visual Concepts is going all out with WWE 2K22 in the visual, gameplay, and content department. The game's roster looks far better when compared to previous entries' wrestlers, which is a welcome feature. And the gameplay has slightly moved away from its simulation feel to allow for more fast-paced clashes. With additional modes such as 2K Showcase (which focuses on cover star Rey Mysterio this time around!), the newly added MyFaction, MyRise, the Creation Suite, and the return of MyGM, WWE 2K22 is looking like a champion.

This update to the 2011 anime fighter Phantom Breaker: Extra has been a long time coming. Phantom Breaker: Omnia brings back past characters and throws in a bunch of brand new combatants for some furious weapons-based encounters. What helps this fighter stand apart is the employment of three different fighting styles (Quick, Hard, and Omnia), which gifts each character with different abilities that mesh well with their signature movesets.

Canadian indie game developer Andrew Shouldice has taken his time crafting this top-down action-adventure that harkens back to the classic days of The Legend of Zelda. Tunic is all about a miniature anthropomorphic fox that sets out on an epic journey full of threatening foes and mysterious locales. Tunic's one-man development team is pouring his heart and soul into it, so here's hoping his efforts come to fruition in the best way possible.

The riders and all the bikes of the Monster Energy Supercross 2021 Season are getting proper representation in the latest entry in this motorbike simulation series. So if you've been keeping tabs on the 450SX, 250 East, and 250 West roster, then you'll have plenty to enjoy here. There's a whole bunch of pre-made tracks to rip dirt on here, plus the game's Track Editor lets you create some of your very own. The game's deep Career Mode and free-roaming enabled Compound also do a lot to give you your bang for your buck.

Chaos...there's a whole lot of chaos waiting for you to massacre in Strange of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Even though the cringy main character leaves a lot to be desired, the Nioh-inspired gameplay at the heart of this Final Fantasy spinoff will seemingly make up for his awkwardness. This new take of the very first game in Square Enix's legendary series presents an action RPG premise that's hard as hell. The intense real-time combat, extensive job system, and challenging enemy encounters should make "Soulsbourne" fans quite happy.

Now that everyone has a clearer idea of what Ghostwire: Tokyo is going for, it feels a lot safer to be excited about it. This first-person action-adventure fully embraces the supernatural and does so with a Japanese spin. After the human population of Tokyo completely disappears, evil spirits called "Visitors" eventually invade it. As a young man possessed by a spirit detective named KK, you set out to rid Tokyo of its new otherwordly residents. And you'll do just that with a toolset filled with elemental spells that can be cast via special hand motions.

It has taken way too long for Nintendo's pink puffball of power to get a Super Mario 64-like experience. But here we are! Kirby and the Forgotten Land takes place within a world filled with abandoned cities and other modern structures. As Kirby, you'll get to fully explore each locale and do the usual - suck up enemies, acquire their abilities, and use them to do big damage & progress further into each stage. Kirby's new "Mouthful Mode" goes over the top by letting him suck up massive items, such as a car and a vending machine, to cause even more havoc.

Tiny Tina has emerged as one of the more worshipped characters from Borderlands. So much so that she's stepping up to the forefront as the face of her very own spinoff game, Tina Tina's Wonderlands. This first-person shooter/RPG goes full Dungeons & Dragons by taking place within a fantastical realm. The fantasy tabletop RPG themes are front and center here as Tina plays the part of a dungeon master, who can switch up each campaign's playthrough on the fly. Custom characters can be created through a myriad of classes that all utilize magic in some way, shape, or form. Borderlands mixed in with a tinge of magic should be an immense joy to play.

Publisher Devolver Digital is known for putting out some of the more unique and complex games ever seen. Weird West, which is being developed by Devolver Digital, is a top-down action RPG set within an entirely different take on the Wild Wild West. As an American frontiersman, you'll be forced to fight for your life against supernatural baddies. The world and its many environmental elements can be used to your advantage, so it's worth keeping an eye out for ammo boxes you can shoot down & blow up near your enemies. If you like twin-stick shooters and are up for the challenge of a separate permadeath mode, then Weird West should appeal to you.
