The Best NFL DFS Picks for Week 6: Counting Cards and Stacking Bills

Traditional, season-long fantasy football gives you the opportunity to prove that you’re a smarter and better person than your dearest friends, but daily fantasy sports offers an even stronger incentive: cash. After approximately a quarter of the season, the NFL landscape is a little bit clearer as depth charts and schemes have come into focus. This may not be financial advice, but here are the ONE37pm NFL DFS picks for Week 6.

High: Josh Allen ($8200)

He’s here every week. At the risk of repeating myself, Allen is the best quarterback in the world and the Bills offense is basically custom engineered to make sure he gets as many fantasy points as possible. 

Middle: Kyler Murray ($7300)

The Seahawks-Cardinals game has the second-highest total according to Vegas with the over-under set at 50 points. The equation for DFS success is simple: volume + production = money. Accordingly, Kyler Murray leads the league in passing attempts, giving the former #1 pick ample opportunity to rack up stats against the Seahawks’ 27th-ranked passing defense.

Value: Geno Smith ($5700)

Like Allen, Geno Smith is another frequent selection for this piece. A full-time starter for the first time since 2014, Smith is balling, having topped 20 Draftkings points in each of the last three weeks. Against a porous Arizona defense that surrenders nearly 250 passing yards per game, Smith should continue that streak.

High: Nick Chubb ($8200)

Versatile, pass-catching backs are all the rage, but Chubb is such an electric runner that his paucity of targets is a total non-issue. As the centerpiece of a surprisingly explosive Browns offense, Chubb leads the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Even better, he’s been consistently great too, scoring more than 18 points in all five games so far. 

Middle: Breece Hall ($5700)

Breece Hall’s talent was always obvious, but a timeshare with Michael Carter limited his immediate DFS appeal. Thankfully, though, the Jets have taken the safety locks off their stud rookie running back; over the last two weeks, Hall has averaged 17.5 carries (and 19.5 total touches) and is coming off a star-making 30.7 point performance last Sunday.

Value: Eno Benjamin ($4300)

Entering Sunday’s shootout against the Seahawks, the Cardinals’ backfield has mostly disintegrated. With James Conner and Darrell Williams both missing practice to start the week, Eno Benjamin is the last man standing in Arizona, making him the beneficiary of a juicy matchup against the worst rushing defense in the league. 

High: Stefon Diggs ($8400)

The Bills are gonna throw the piss out of the ball. Too, a ton of those attempts invariably make their way to Diggs. Ahead of any given week, the concern with Diggs isn’t whether he’ll play well, but rather if the Bills will get out to such a huge lead that they’ll stop being so aggressive down the field. Luckily, the Chiefs are the rare team with the ammo and willpower to go shot for shot against the Bills, ensuring an active night for Allen and Diggs.   

Middle: Mike Evans ($7000)

Everybody in Tampa is still hurt and Evans has been Brady’s favorite target for the last two-and-a-quarter years. Even accounting for his early ejection against Saints in Week 2, Evans has led the Buccaneers in receiving yards in three of the four games he’s played this year—and in the only game he didn’t lead the team, he was still in second place, just two yards behind the leader. 

Value: Rondale Moore ($4200)

This week’s slate is chockablock with value plays at receiver. Namely, Rondale Moore showed out in his first start of the year last week (seven catches on eight targets for 68 yards). Still, his early season injury has him woefully underpriced despite being a top option in a plum matchup. Similarly, George Pickens ($4600) and Darius Slayton ($3600) are both nominative #1 receivers who are massive bargains this week.

High: Travis Kelce ($7800)

He scored four touchdowns last Sunday and it still didn’t feel like he had all that good of a game.

Middle: Zach Ertz ($4900)

At this point, I’ll just end up starting every Cardinal and Seahawk. Even beyond the added boost of playing the Seahawks, Ertz has caught at least six catches in his last four games.

Value: Evan Engram ($3500)

Evan Engram popped off for 10 targets last week—could this be the start of a fruitful partnership with Trevor Lawrence? Probably not, but it’d be cool if it were.
