Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the popular name of the sport many fans today are introduced to from the organization known as the UFC. When looking at MMA’s history, especially under the MMA acronym many will cite the first UFC event, UFC 1 in 1993 as the event that sparked it’s inception to turn it into the regulated and popular sport it is today.
