Marvel fans, It’s almost time for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. The character posters have been released, there’s a new trailer out, and we can finally start getting excited about being in the theater on May 5th. It’s been a long road to the path of getting Vol.3 as we’ve gone through a whirlwind of James Gunn being fired from his directorial duties and moving over into the realm of the DC Universe, only to end up being re-hired as the director for Vol.3 after rather lackadaisical attempts to find his replacement. Nonetheless, we’re here and ready to celebrate as it’s been six years since Vol.2 was released. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 began production in November 2021 at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and is part of Phase Five of the MCU. Here’s everything you need to know.

When is the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Release Date?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is set to be released on May 5th, 2023. As we just mentioned, Vol.3 began production in November 2021 at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, wrapping up the final scenes in early May 2022.

From what we know, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is about the gang adjusting to life on Knowhere after the events of the second film. The events of Rocket’s past begin to resurface, and in order to keep him protected, Peter Quill takes charge of leading on a dangerous mission that may or may not lead to the team being torn apart.
