Perhaps we should have waited until the start of May for this article so we could say “It’s Gonna Be May,” but nonetheless we are here early and in a celebration mode to celebrate 25 years of NSYNC. You can call us biased (and we may be), but us 2000s kids feel like we grew up in the best era. You had the emerging groups and artists such as NSYNC, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Destiny’s Child, Usher, etc. Then you had the artists who were still young but had been around for several years like Aaliyah and Brandy. You had a mixture of all genres and acts dominating the Billboard top 20, and you also still had the legends like Michael, Janet, Whitney, and Madonna that were getting hits. It was a great time to grow up, and NSYNC was one of the things that made that time period great. Who doesn't remember some of the best NSYNC songs that defined the decade?
As a 2000s kid myself, believe me when I say that the NSYNC phenomenon was very much a thing. If you didn’t have their posters hanging up on your wall, then you had their lunchboxes, dolls, stickers, etc. What a time to be alive. The fact that this group is 25-years-old now is just insane (and even more insane that we’re old enough to remember them in real-time), so it’s only right that we allow ourselves to take a walk on the nostalgic side by remembering some of their greatest hits.
