Fase Yoda Releases New Single and Video “Messed Up”

Louisiana-based artist Fase Yoda returns to the plate with his latest single, “Messed Up,” released in collaboration with Young Stoner Life (YSL) Records. If you are unfamiliar with the emerging artist, be sure to check out the profile we previously wrote about the artist below. 

Fase Yoda is coming off his successful release “Butterflies,” which saw tremendous success on TikTok and streaming platforms alike. Since the single’s release, the song has accumulated nearly ten million streams on Spotify, with an additional four million views on the music video. In addition, the song has around twenty thousand videos created on TikTok using Yoda’s song with millions of views. If you aren’t familiar with the song, tune in below.

Since the last time we covered Yoda, he’s been seeing tremendous growth on social media. Since August, Yoda has gained over two hundred thousand followers on TikTok, surpassing a total reach of over one million people. Additionally, Yoda has accumulated tens of thousands of followers on Instagram. This only proves that Yoda is a force to be reckoned with. 

Last week, Yoda released his latest single, “Messed Up.” The beat of the song features a quick, repetitive guitar riff. The melody is complemented by fast-hitting percussion that goes along with the beat well. In the verses, you can hear Yoda rapping about his woes. In addition, you can listen to Yoda shift to singing on the chorus, which further shows the audience his talent and versatility as an artist. 

On the chorus, Yoda sings, “F***еd uр, mеѕѕеd uр, ѕhаwtу I bе trірріn’. І knоw I’ll bе dеаd оff thе mеdѕ, I dоn’t lіѕtеn. Ваbу I gоt dеmоnѕ оn mу mіnd саn уоu hеаr іt. Рор аnоthеr реrkу to thе mіnd саn уоu fееl іt.” Yoda acknowledges his own problems in these lyrics, where you can hear the raw emotion Yoda is portraying. Be sure to listen below! 

Shortly following the release of the song, Yoda released the official music video for the song. The song has quickly gained nearly four hundred thousand views in just a few days. The video features visuals of Yoda sitting in a bathtub of blood, Yoda rapping at a graveyard, and similar dark metaphors. Check out the music video below to see a unique and exciting video! 

Yoda’s command for attention is prevalent, as shown with this release. Yoda did an incredible job building up hype on social media, releasing several teasers of the video on Instagram that were attention-grabbing.
