The Biggest November 2022 Video Game Releases

From a first-person perspective, you'll wield an AI-powered device named "ASTRA" that's capable of rewinding objects through time as you peruse through challenging puzzle rooms. The main conflict at hand is an impending extinction-level event, which you're meant to prevent since you're the last remaining person alive in the world. The Entropy Centre is also at risk of collapsing, so you and ASTRA will have to rewind time as much as possible in order to save it and planet Earth in one fell swoop via extensive puzzle-solving.

We have a high-octane racing game here that should appeal to genre fans within this lineup of all the major November 2022 video game releases. WRC Generations marks the seventh entry in the World Rally Championship racing sim series and also stands as the official video game of the 2022 World Rally Championship. A vast collection of new car models will be put into play here based on the Ford Puma Rally1, Hyundai i20 N Rally1, and Toyota GR Yaris Rally1. And for those who got a kick out of WRC 10's Anniversary mode, you'll be happy to know it's returning for this brand new series entry.

For some reason, there's an abundance of life sims floating out there. Square Enix made sure to add its very own entry into that packed release schedule of the re-energized sub-genre with Harvestella. After waking up smack dab in the middle of "Quietus," which is a calamity that arrives with every season, you'll need to do your best to stop it as you make your way through the realm of Seaslight. Your customizable protagonist will be responsible for exploring dungeons, fending off your foes via the skills acquired by your job classes, and tending to your farm life duties all the while.

Sonic fans everywhere are placing all their hopes and dreams into this game actually being good and even great. And by the looks of all the recent previews and trailers provided by the game, Sonic Frontiers looks like it just might be one of the better 3D series entries in recent memory. Sega's beloved "Blue Blur" is transported to the Starfall Islands, which is a vast expanse filled with varied biomes to explore. This new open-world adventure will see Sonic speed his way through each island, take on enemies & towering bosses, and even navigate fast-paced stages that harken back to Sonic's classic platforming challenges.

Three years after the events of 2018's God of War, Kratos and his son Atreus are placed in a wild predicament that involves an overly long winter period that marks the arrival of Ragnarök. Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is one of the greatest strategy RPGs of all time. A quality remake arrived on the PlayStation Portable in 2010 and now we're set to play an even better version of that updated iteration. Tactics Ogre: Reborn is set to arrive with a much improved graphical presentation, improved pixel art, updated game mechanics, and the same excellent features that made the 2010 remake so unforgettable. Battles will now operate at a faster pace, the class-wide level management system has been switched to a unit-by-unit level system, and the controls and user interface have been changed for the better.

Warzone has officially entered the next level of its super competitive and highly addictive take on the thriving battle royale sub-genre. This 2.0 edition of the smash-hit mode from Call of Duty maintains its free-to-play classification, so anyone can download it and hop in to enjoy all the wild gunplay alongside their geared-up teammates. Players will now drop onto a new desert-themed map called Al Mazrah where they now have the ability to perform mantling, diving to go prone, and swimming. Alongside those new features is a new extraction game mode called "DMZ," a fun new approach to escaping the Gulag, the "Circle Collapse" mechanic, etc. Warzone 2.0 is looking to go above and beyond to improve upon everything the original version introduced and then some.

Only the outlandish Goat Simulator series can completely skip the number two for a sequel and go straight to three without anyone even batting an eye! Goat Simulator 3 revisits all the hilarious anarchy of the original game. You and three other troublesome goats can join forces to indulge in some chaotic activities on the fictional island of San Angora. You'll be headbutting, licking, and pulling off triple-jumps everywhere as you get caught up in some mischievous activities that'll provide plenty of belly laughter from start to finish. All those NPCs in this game don't even know what's coming their way...

So far, Supermassive Games' The Dark Pictures Anthology has delivered three separate terrifying tales: Man of Medan, Little Hope, and House of Ashes. Now we're due for the next horror-fueled adventure from that series with the release of The Devil in Me. Players can expect to venture through a harrowing situation where a documentary film crew chooses to explore a modern-day replica of serial killer H.H. Holmes' "Murder Castle." Little do they know that they're about to be stalked and forced to fight for their lives within the horrifying World’s Fair Hotel. As far as new features go, The Devil in Me will feature more active gameplay in form of characters who can run, jump, and climb. Plus there will be puzzles and usable items via a new inventory system.

2022 already gave us an open-world Pokémon game in the form of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Development studio Game Freak must have been hard at work putting together the next mainline dual entries for the monster-collecting series since it's slated to drop this year. Pokémon Scarlet and PokémonViolet transport trainers to the Paldea region. And this time, your three starter Pokémon come in the form of Sprigatito (Grass-type), Fuecoco (Fire-type), and Quaxly (Water-type). Koraidon and Miraidon stand out as the newest legendary Pokémon, who are both able to transform into vehicles to cover more ground. Turn-based battles, creature collecting/training, and the new crystallized phenomenon known as "Terastal" make up the best aspects of this latest Pokémon journey.

Evil West keeps it really simple and straight to the point - you go balls-to-the-wall against an army of supernatural baddies. And during your gruesome crusade against all manner of vampires and other monstrosities, you'll employ the use of powerful firearms such as a six-shot pistol, a rifle, and even a flamethrower. On the melee weapon front, players will get to utilize a sick gauntlet that can be powered by electricity and an axe for extra measure. Vampire hunter Jesse Rentier stands at the heart of this third-person action/adventure game that feels like a cool throwback to action games of the PS3/Xbox 360 generation.

Another fast-paced third-person shooter that's worth checking out on this list of the biggest November 2022 video game releases is this surprising sequel to 2004's Gungrave: Overdose. The brooding, gun-toting executioner named Grave makes his explosive return in Gungrave G.O.R.E. on a mission to slaughter every baddie that tries to test him. That means you'll get to pull off some swaggy combat maneuvers with your overpowered Cerberus pistols in hand and even smack folks into oblivion with Grave's EVO-coffin. This is one of those shooters that get right to the point - SHOOT, SHOOT, AND SHOOT SOME MORE! Oh, and by the way, Gungrave G.O.R.E. is going straight to Xbox Game Pass on day one.

The Front Mission games are pretty hardcore strategy RPGs that focus on battle-ready mechs known as "Wanzers." One of the most surprising video game remake announcements came for this incoming release, which is a new and highly improved version of the very first Front Mission series entry. The future of Huffman Island lies in your hands as you head into battle against the opposing army with your massive mechs at the ready. Retooled gameplay, improved visuals, the presence of the original & a newly recorded soundtrack, and an entirely new game mode make this remake a must for strategy RPG fans that hold Front Mission in high regard.

The Warhammer 40,000 universe has blessed its avid fanbase with a host of good games thus far. And now we're due for one that delves into co-op first-person shooting encounters on the planet Atoma Prime in the Hive City of Tertium. As one of four Inquisitorial Agents, you'll fight alongside three other players in a bid to take down waves of encroaching enemies that want to rip your head off. The game's playable classes fall into Veteran, Zealot, Ogryn, and Psyker, which can all be customized via your chosen avatars. If Warhammer: Vermintide 2 gave you plenty of enjoyable playtimes, then Warhammer 40,000: Darktide should do the exact same.
