'Granblue Fantasy: Relink' Release Date: Story, Gameplay, and More

Granblue Fantasy Relink takes place in the expansive "Sky Realm," which is composed of a bunch of floating islands strewn across gorgeous blue skies. The game's plot mainly revolves around the player taking on the role of the leader of a crew that flies through the skies on their custom ship - that crew consists of familiar Granblue Fantasy party members, a cute little dragon named Vyrn, and a young girl with magical powers named Lyria. Your adventures will take you across the "Zegagrande Skydom," which are islands heavily guarded by powerful creatures known as "Primal Beasts." Along the way, you'll need to get to the bottom of all the whispers surrounding a top-secret organization called the "Church of Avia." Setting sail in an effort to come upon the fabled island of "Estalucia" is also another main goal for the game's skyfaring collective.

For those of you who managed to check out the Granblue Fantasy mobile game and played a whole bunch of Granblue Fantasy: Versus, you'll be pleased to see a nice mix of familiar playable characters from those titles being featured in Granblue Fantasy: Relink at launch. During your quests, you'll be accompanied by two non-playable characters - Lyria and Vyrn. The game's lineup of launch day playable heroes include:

As far as enemies go, you'll constantly be at odds with the following individuals during the single-player campaign:

• Id, the "Foreboding Blade"
• Gallanza, the "Silver Wolf"
• Maglielle, the "Alluring Swordmaster"
• Lilith, the "Salvation's Guide"

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an action RPG that features offline play where one player will be able to switch between all four party members at any time and online play for four players using their own respective characters. The co-op option will only be applied to the "Quests" mode - this mode will feature over 100 tasks to complete that include boss battles, time attack missions, survival challenges, and more. Post-endgame content will also come into play as you tackle the massive Quests mode.

The Story Mode will only be focused on offline play. When it comes to combat, each playable character has access to their own physical attacks and special abilities (extensive character customization options also come into play). Special full team-up "Link Attacks" can be activated once an enemy's "Stun Gauge" reaches 100%, each character can pull off flashy "Skybound Arts," and performing those aforementioned moves in succession activates powerful aftershocks called "Chain Bursts." On the character customization tip, players will be able to alter their favorite character's costumes, weapons, Sigils, and "Mastery Nodes" that can unlock & attach four skills to a single character.
